3.3.2 Correcting Lens Distortion (L25 Only)

If you are using a D25M with the L25 82° wide-angle lens, the image, particularly the

edges, may be slightly distorted due to the extreme angle of the lens.

You can suppress this eect using software (e.g. in the browser) so that a new and appro

priately corrected image can be displayed live. A side eect of this correction, however,

is that a cushion shape appears around the edges of the image.

To hide this cushion eect, you simply have to zoom in on the image slightly. Although

this reduces the size of the captured area, the image is almost distortion-free compared

to the original.
